Outhred Out in Front at WPT Mandalay Bay Final Table
Alex Outhred (at right), a super satellite qualifier from Los Angeles, finds himself big stacked at the WPT Mandalay Bay final table.
Outhred is stacked at 1,743,000, giving him a thisclose lead over Burt Boutin (1,729,000).
Day 2 chip leader Yukon Booth, who got into a war of words with Tony Ma, then spewed his chips away, recovered nicely and sits with 1,659,000. And Day 4 chip leader Joe Tehan held on nicely and brings a stack of 1,371,000 with him.
There are two other guys at the final table, both of whom will likely be elinimated early: 5) Al Stonum - 263,000, 6) Steve Vincent - 219,000.

During the WPT Boot Camp Masters Event, they gave away a 10K seat to the winner of the camp tournament and a free satellite seat to the runner up, who happened to be Alex.
Alex played in the satellite the other day, and now he'll be as he put it, "The last one introduced tonight. That 14K means a lot."
Everyone's rooting for him if they know him...good guy, great teacher, and I guess he can play some cards too...

so did he qualify via a super satellite or is he actually an instructor for the WPT Boot Camp... he can't be both...that would be like walking to school and carrying your lunch.

BJ, got an email from Feldman at ESPN along the same lines. For our readers, Outhred works the lipstick cam at WPT events and is basically the guy who selects which hands they'll show during broadcasts. Great story and everyone is rooting for him...

Alex Outhred is actually an instructor for the WPT Boot Camp, and he is at most of the WPT events. Those of us in the poker media are rooting hard for him, because he is an extremely nice guy.
