Today's Card Player "LIKE YOU WERE THERE" Moment
In our last LYWTMTM, we highlighted how somtimes an event is big, so important, that it transcends the actual moment and becomes legend.
And with it's dramatic finish, from zany Frenchman Zinedine Zidane's headbutt (thanks Drizz at Nickle and Dimes for sending us the animated gif of the atrocity) to the climatic penalty kick finale, this year's World Cup (of Soccer) truly achieved that "you shoulda been there" status.
Luckily, Card Player was there to report on what it was like to watch other people wishing they were there in Germany as the action unfolded.
And while we do not personally know and therefore cannot speak for Max Pescatori, we will request on his behalf that you quit calling him "The Italian Pirate." Some things are just not right.

Soccer Update
The room seems to be split between Italy and France. Although it is tough to tell whether it is because of home country allegiance or the amount of money on the line.
Italy Wins World Cup
The Italians have won the World Cup and players are making their way back to their seats. Max "The Italian Pirate" Pescatori, who is in the $2,500 NL Hold'em event, is somewhere in the Rio celebrating.
