Milwaukee's Best Providing Nine Lucky People a Chance for Sloppy Seconds
Milwaukee's Best Light, the official sponsor of the 2006 WSOP, the company responsible for sending our Sweat Tracy Becker (who ended yesterday with 17,400 in chips) to the Main Event, and the company responsible for supplying some truly sick talent at the WSOP, has announced it will host the first ever "bubble" tournament for the final nine players eliminated out of the money in this year's ME.
On Saturday, Aug. 5, at 1:30 p.m. the nine will vie for a seat into the 2007 WSOP Main Event.
Says Chad Dern, who we are told is the senior brand manager of Milwaukee's Best Light: “We recognize that not everyone can finish ‘in the money’ at the Main Event. Players who fall just short are still champions, and we’d like to give them another shot by letting them play in the Milwaukee’s Best Light ‘Bubble’ Playoff for a seat at next year’s event.”
Thinking his microphone was off*, he then said, "And by 'are still champions' I mean 'are big f'in losers! What a waste of time! Way to waste a week of your life and fall just short of the money!
