David Williams Licks Competition on Day 1A at WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star
David Williams, the 2006 7-card stud world champion bracelet winner, WPT finalist and 2004 WSOP ME runner-up who will be appearing soon in his own reality series on RawVegas.tv so that "licks" comment is all you're going to get from us for now, finished on top with the biggest stack (188,900) and a taste for victory in his mouth (woops) yesterday at the WPT's Bay 101 Shooting Star Tournament. It's a nice start for the tournament ace at the Bay 101, after finishing 4th in the event last year for a $280,000 cash.
Also still in at the end of Day 1a is last year's winner, Nam Le, who's well behind Williams at 45,000 in chips. Other notables still in include Sean McCabe (116,600), JC Tran (105k), Bill Edler (78k), Joe Sebok (76,500), Scotty Nguyen (69,500) and Allen Cunningham (66k) while Phil Hellmuth, Gavin Smith, Cyndy Violette and Josh "Good to Have You Back" Arieh were all sent packing.
The bounty-style WPT tournament dishes out $5k rewards to non-name players who knock out big-name players while also doling out $10k bonuses each to the Day 1a and Day 1b chipleaders.
Day 1b action just got underway and among the players still in are a bunch of big-name and no-name players you know and don't know. Early prediction is that Huck Seed makes the final table because it's gotta happen again sooner or later.

I think you meant to say the $10,000 bonus goes to the Day 1a and Day 1b chipleaders. As far as I can tell, there will not be a Day 2a.
I know I don't comment that much, but that doesn't mean I haven't been reading y'all to keep up to date with what's going on. Roll on, WCP!
