2007 WSOP Tournament Updates
:: Gary Styczynski, who needs to buy a fucking vowel, won Event #6 ($1,500), beating some foreigner named Gumroyan Varouzhan for the title. Styczynski banks $280,715 for the win.
:: Burt Boutin (at right), who is potentially the oldest looking 39 year-old on the planet, won Event #7 ($5,000 PLO w/ rebuys). It was Boutin biggest cashing ever, as he banks $825,956 and his second bracelet. Finishing second was Erik Cajelais, third was the always surprisingly short David "Devilfish" Ulliot, seventh was John Juanda, and eigth was the always not surprisingly annoying Humberto Brenes.
:: The Event #8 ($1,000 NLH w/ rebuys) final table is set. Amir Vahedi is the chip leader, stacked at 1,360,000. Michael Gracz, who apparently is still alive, is second at 73,000. Shane Schlegler is seventh overall at 290,000.
:: For the Event #9 ($1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo) final table, John Varner is the chip leader (589,000) followed by Jordan Morgan (325,000).
:: In Event #10 ($2,000), Phil Hellmuth is making a run at bracelet #11, as he's among the chip leaders, stacked at 91,800. Leading everyone going into Day 2 is Shaun Deeb at 145,000. Brandi Hawbaker, Clonie Gowen, and E-Fro are all strong as well.
:: Also making a run at bracelet #11 is Johnny Chan, who is among the chip leaders in Event #11 ($1,500 7CS). Chan is stacked at 31,200. The chip leader is Theo Jorgensen at 66,000.
