Danish Backgammon Player Not Named Gus Hansen Wins EPT Barcelona

CasinopuertaSander Lylloff, a 25-year-old Danish backgammon phenom and former chess champion, has won the EPT Barcelona Open after six-hands of heads-up play against his friend and tour roommate Mark Teltscher of Great Britain.

In 3rd place was 20-year-old Harvard student Greg Dyer, one of two U.S. Americans at the final table. Some Scandis finished in 4th and 5th, and 19-year-old Adam 'AJunglen7" Junglen of Stow, Ohio, finished in sixth, while unbearably cocky Austrian doughboy Nikolaus "RealAndyBeal" Jedlicka, who is rumored to be up about 5 mil online the past few months, finished 7th. Finally, French singer and actor Patrick Bruel, who may or may not be the only Frenchie who's ever won a WSOP bracelet, finished 8th.

Here are the payouts:

1 - Sander Lylloff (Denmark) - €1,170,700
2 - Mark Teltscher (UK) - €673,000
3 - Greg Dyer (USA) - €388,800
4 - Mika Paasonen (Finland) - €301,000
5 - Trond Eidsvig (Norway) - €250,800
6 - Adam Junglen (USA) - €196,500
7 - Nikolaus Jedlicka (Austria) - €154,700
8 - Patrick Bruel (France) - €104,500

Instead of us railing on Danish men like Lylloff and Gus Hansen for focusing their time on backgammon and chess rather than banging the ridiculously endless amount of beautiful girls we've seen during our trips to Denmark, we'll just go ahead and post links to some EPT Barcelona reports from the people allí en España.
