Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey Meet Barack Obama
As alluded to in his previous video blog, Daniel Negreanu jetted off to LA yesterday with Phil Ivey for a fundraiser dinner with Barack "Bam" Obama.
Obama, who is on the record saying he does play poker, recognized the two, but they didn't get into a convo about the UIGEA. As Negreanu put it, he probably has "bigger fish to fry."
Then, Phil Ivey, who likes to gamble, laid 10-1 odds to Daniel that Obama would pick Hillary Clinton to be his VP. Negreanu gets the field. If we were Daniel, we'd be feeling pretty good about our chances on this one.
negreanu laid phil ivey 10-1 odds, not the other way around.

Does Obama really play poker? I wonder what kind of style he would be, Probably Tight Aggressive for most of the game building up his table image before pulling off bluffs. I wonder how his reads would be for a politician. Be able to spot the "Bull". He would probably get to the final table and then try and cut a deal.
A Baller and a poker playing president!

I hope Daniel didn't pay to get into this fund raiser. He's a Canadian citizen, right? If so, it's illegal for him to contribute to a presidential campaign. Plus, since he's a foreigner, it's really none of his business who we elect.
