ESPN Doesn't Care About Things Like Ratings
Apparently ESPN needed to improve its standing among the 60-72 year-old male demo.
We know that it's slim pickings for big, marketable names on Day 2A of the 2008 WSOP Main Event. But is this the best they could do?
In an apparent effort to ensure no one watches their Day 2A broadcast, ESPN logically decided to put Chau Giang at today's TV featured table along with a bunch of old dudes and people you've never heard of.
At the side featured table is Vanessa Rousso, a woman, who went to Duke, totally has a MILF and SILF, and now has more strings following her name than anyone else on the circuit.
We get that they couldn't put Erick Lindgren back at the featured, but still, Patrik Antonius was available. As was his smoking hot wife Maya. And Brandon Adams is big stacked. While Robert Mizrachi looks like an extra from the Bada Bing, he's legit and big stacked too.
Anyway, some early Day 2A movers include new chip leader Hunter Fry (220,000), the aforementioned Mizrachi (193,000), and the aforementioned Adams (170,00).
We don't even know what Giang is up to (or down to), but get full chip counts here.
Chau Giang pwns.
"I like play poker."
And don't forget they are hoping to get a few random schmoes from their featured tables to make it to the final table so they can follow them around once they go on hiatus for 4 months. Those old fogies could be the next reality hit.
