Forrest Griffin Enters, Leaves Main Event
It may not look like it but Forrest Griffin won his UFC fight last night and played today at the WSOP Main Event.
UFC Light Heavyweight champ Forrest Griffin came straight from the hospital to the Rio in Las Vegas to play in the 2008 WSOP Main Event. (exclusive video of Forrest below)
And then...he decided he's had enough. He just told us he's going to begin a string of blind all-ins until he is eliminated from the tournament so he can go home.
Which is fair enough, given he lost pints of blood in the fight last night.
At the first break, Griffin was over 20,000. Joining Griffin in action today is Chuck Liddell, who is at the featured table with Mark Seif and a still-yet-to-arrive Phil Hellmuth and yet to arrive Phil Hellmuth's ego.
Early chip leaders include Thomas "Thunder" Keller (56,000) and Steve Billirakis (50,000). Get full chip counts here.
UPDATE: On Forrest's first hand of blind all-ins, he hit a boat and has now doubled up. Sometimes it's good to be champ.
