Liv Boeree Is Single?

Liv Boiree is quickly turning into one of our favorite poker players. She's smoking hot. She's smart. She pounds beers. She's got that accent. Fuck, she could be a renown ax murderer and we'd be like, "Well, you know, she IS  smoking hot, and smart, and she pounds beers, and damn she has that accent too...Ok so yeah she may decapitate me with an ax but let's roll the dice and see where this one leads..."

Add to that list of pluses that she's also single (or at least she does not mention having a boyfriend in the below vid). So apparently we were wrong. She is not dating Jon Friedberg. To his credit, Friedberg is at least a good sport about it, giving her a lapdance to start the vid off. If we were him, we'd be posting fake Facebook status updates like, "Going to Target with Liv," or "All day Kate Hudson moviefest with Liv, OMG How To Lost A Guy in 10 Days is so LOL!" just to keep the myth going. Like Constanza in that Seinfeld episode, once you date a girl like Liv, you're pretty much "in the club." No less than 10's for him from here on out.

Liv Boeree in Loaded Magazine is the Friday Night Parting Shot

Liv Boeree is smoking hot in the Nov. issue of Loaded magazine. Get it? She's smoking for real, and she's hot. She even has flames on her too, and well flames are hot. It's a play on words. Why do we need to explain this to you? Are you stupid?

British badass poker hottie Liv Boeree may never win a major poker tournament, earn millions of dollars in winnings or gain the respect of her peers for superior play at the poker table*, but there's no question that she is unequivocally the most accomplished woman poker player in the world right now, and it's all thanks to her outrageously hot 3-page photo spread in the November issue of Loaded Magazine.

Yep, you don't need to win tournaments to gain our respect girls. Actually, as Annette Obrestad proved, women winning stuff just scares the bajeezus out of us. No, to impress us, all you have to do is just get sort of close to naked, pose all hot and smile for the camera. We're simple like that.

Liv Boeree Deserves More of Our Attention

We're big fans of 20-something year-old rocker chicks who can pull off the beater tee look, talk with British accents, know how to play cards and can do a chip trick or two with some style.

So putting 2+2 together, well, we suck at algebra. But the point is we're digging Brit pokerer Liv Boeree, who just returned to Vegas after a brief break back home in England and has already cashed twice at the 2008 WSOP (Events Nos. 38 and 41).

Liv Boeree, Maria Ho and Some Other Girls Playing Poker at the 2008 WSOP, Plus an Update

Above is head-banging poker hottie Liv Boeree and the last chick standing at the 2007 WSOP Main Event Maria Ho playing at the 2008 World Series of Poker. Liv, a woman, was in the field yesterday for Event No. 2 - $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em and mentioned that she "went deep and got it in ahead and that's what matters." So we guess that means she's out. Maria Ho, also a woman, is playing today in Event No. 4 - $5k Mixed Hold'em.

Updating you on the action from the floor of the WSOP, there are three events underway today at the Rio, including Day 2 of the $1,500 NLH event. 180 players remain from the nearly 4000 who started Event No. 2 and Ginikachukwu Izuogu (<- no way that's a real name) is out front with 305,000 in chips, David Bach (6th at 2007 LAPC) is in second with 288,000 in chips and Ryan D'Angelo is third with 237,000. Notables still in include Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Theo Tran, Kenny Tran, Shaniac, Aaron Kanter, Arnold Spee, and Terrence Chan. They have to play down to the final 9 before action stops so we're guessing they'll still be going when we wake up tomorrow afternoon.

Both Event No. 3 ($1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em) and Event No. 4 ($5k Mixed Hold'em) started today with the former drawing a decent 713 entrants and already down to 198. David Singer leads the pro heavy field last we checked. Get the latest chip counts here.

Event No. 4 was the late start today and had 333 players enter, with most of the field consisting of players who busted early from Event No. 3. Brit pro Ben Grundy holds the early chip lead with 32,000, and big names over 20k in chips already include Bill Chen, Ralph Perry, Bill Edler, Berry Johnston, Eric Froelich, and Phil Ivey.

Okay, this is really tiring. Time for a nap.

New Absolute Poker UK Ambassador Liv Boeree No Lacey Jones, Wears Spandex

Absolute Poker, who just a few months ago was enveloped in the Potripper cheating scandal that nobody even talks about now, has added a new poker hottie to their stable.

Liv Boeree, who is definitely no Lacey Jones but isn't exactly bad on the eyes either, will be the UK ambassador for Absolute. According to the Absolute Poker website, the 23 year-old Boeree is a "whiskey-drinking, spandex-wearing, Metallica-loving rock chick with an astrophyics degree..."

Who is she, Poochie?

Surprised Absolute's marketing department didn't pull the "snowboarding/Dungeons and Dragons playing/blowjob-loving" card.

Before becoming an aspiring poker pro, Boeree is (probably?) most known for work with Ultimatepoker.com Showdown, Gutshot TV, Ladies’ World Poker Open, and the World Series of Poker Europe.
